Fine Artist • Muralist • Graphic Designer
Painting has been my passion since my first impressionistic rendering of Popeye at age 3. I am highly informed by light and color. Light gives me energy, and color gives me balance. My paintings reflect my appreciation of nature, with all of its wonderful shapes and hues.
I paint to connect with myself and my community. I often discover hidden emotions that were previously unknown to me. That quiet focused state, and getting into the “zone”, is what helps me understand my inner feelings. On a gloomy day, I am drawn to brighter colors to liven up my mood, and workspace. Living on the coast presents me with the changing colors of sea and sky. I enjoy growing as many flowers with challenging color schemes as possible so I can refer to them when painting. I am blessed with many hummingbirds visiting my garden which I study as well.
In addition to creating fine art pieces using acrylic on wood and canvas, I am also a muralist. I am currently involved working on projects in private residences, schools, hospitals and communities.
