Susan Honda Eady
I am honored to exhibit at Bamboo Hair + Body and am featuring excerpts from three bodies of work.
Ten Days in Japan– Images made while traveling with extended family, while contemplating “otherness” and identity.
Carrots, Raw– Considering our compulsion of anthropomorphism.
Everyday Life– Recent contemplations mostly from daily walks in Redwood City and Atherton as well as family trips.
I do this because I hope to gain some understanding of my life – within and around me - based on what I’m drawn to photograph and how I express the image.
I feel like these visual fragments are clues. Maybe someday I will be able to string them together and have a huge “aha moment” that I can articulate.
Please come to the reception and we can talk. I hate writing artist statements.
Reception: Sunday, July 28, 2019, 4-7pm
